Tailwaters Education Program

Tailwaters Fly Fishing Company’s education programs are designed to further the sport of fly fishing through hands-on, positive interaction for the novice and veteran fly fisherman, newcomers to the sport, as well as the public at large. Tailwaters offers a wide-range of learning opportunities, including one-on-one private instruction, group classes, warm-water local schools and salt-water destination schools. Tailwaters Fly Fishing is also unique in that we have two Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) Certified Casting Instructors on staff – a distinction few shops can claim! Whether as an individual or part of a larger group, Tailwaters Fly Fishing’s unique approach allows our instructors to custom fit a perfect program to best fit the needs of our students.

Here are a few examples of our specific offerings: 

  • Private Casting Lessons at the Shop:  $75 /hour ($100 for two students)
  • Weekend Warmwater Fly Fishing Schools 45 Minutes from Dallas
  • Destination Schools and Seminars hosted in Belize, Louisiana, & the Rockies
  • Corporate and Group Events in and Around the Metroplex
  • Celebrity Guest Instructors
  • Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) Certified Casting Instructors

Stay tuned for our upcoming schedule of local & destination schools. Tailwaters will host bass, trout, and novice & intermediate saltwater schools from Texas to Belize.
