For some reason it is a common misunderstanding that we only book hosted trips. In reality, 95% of our travel business is booked with individual parties organizing a fishing holiday without joining a hosted group. If you have an interest in visiting a certain fishery or destination, we provide the same expertise, high level of service, and thorough pre-trip detail when organizing your adventure. In 2009 and 2010 we booked fishing trips for over 400 anglers to destinations all over the world! We have clients traveling somewhere nearly every day. About Our Hosted Trips

Although the majority of our business is derived of bookings from private and individual parties, several times a year a member of our team will lead, or "host", a trip to various destinations. Many of our clients prefer to sign up for our hosted trips because we provide a sense of security and added professionalism to the adventure. Some of our hosted trips are to destinations that we have visited in the past, while others are a bit more speculative exploratory trips to new and exciting locations.

Our hosts act as liaison for the group and the lodge operator, make important group decisions, offer extra casting and fishing instruction, and generally see that things run smoothly and happily for the group. Our hosted trips are tons of fun and encourage folks to visit exotic destinations that they normally would not do on their own. Usually a hosted trip consists of 4-10 clients who join a group of anglers along with an employee of the shop. In addition to offering the presence of qualified first hand knowledge of the destination, hosted trips also provide a cohesive social environment for the group, making it an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and angling partners.

As the Camerons prepare to leave their 6-month a year home in Punta Allen for Juneau, Alaska, we also host a monster party. The last night of the season, the building is filled with 100+ consisting of the guides and staff with their families and a huge buffet, excessive quantities of booze, kids banging piñatas, and a nostalgic ending to another wonderful campaign. Last year our party of 10 landed 19 permit of to 35 pounds and watched the Mavericks beat the Heat at the local cantina. Join members of the Tailwaters Travel staff including Sadie Thacker (ladies are welcome) and Travis Moore on one of the most sincere and memorable fishing weeks you will ever live.
