About Our Hosted Trips
Although the majority of our business is derived of bookings from private and individual parties, several times a year a member of our team will lead, or “host”, a trip to various destinations. Many of our clients prefer to sign up for our hosted trips because we provide a sense of security and added professionalism to the adventure. Some of our hosted trips are to destinations that we have visited in the past, while others are a bit more speculative exploratory trips to new and exciting locations.
Our hosts act as liaison for the group and the lodge operator, make important group decisions, offer extra casting and fishing instruction, and generally see that things run smoothly and happily for the group. Our hosted trips are tons of fun and encourage folks to visit exotic destinations that they normally would not do on their own. Usually a hosted trip consists of 4-10 clients who join a group of anglers along with an employee of the shop. In addition to offering the presence of qualified first hand knowledge of the destination, hosted trips also provide a cohesive social environment for the group, making it an excellent opportunity for people to meet new friends and angling partners.

CENTRAL PATAGONIA (BARILOCHE) TRIP - FEBRUARY 13-20, 2010
Limay Medio Float & Estancia Quemquemtreu
Our trip to Central Patagonia will include a three day float/camping trip on the exclusive Limay Medio River as well as four nights at luxurious Estancia Quemquemtreu fishing the Collon Cura. This is an opportunity to witness a stretch of the Limay River that 99% of all Patagonian anglers miss out on. Our friends with Dreamcast (part of the Esquel Outfitters) have dialed in an incredible program targeting huge browns and rainbows with their sophisticated float / camping trip. After the “roughing it” portion of the itinerary on the float trip, we will visit Estancia Quemquemtreu and fish the Collon Cura River and its tributaries for three days. Quemquemtreu offers the classic old school Argentine Estancia atmosphere associated with true Patagonia.
Note about Couples Trip: We can substitute an additional luxury or traditional lodge based program in place of the Limay Medio float trip. Instead of the float trip, guests could spend four nights at another lodge in addition to the stay at Estancia Quemquemtreu. All lodges are within striking distance of Bariloche and its shopping, nighlife, dining, ect. This different itinerary would be ideal for couples!

JURRASSIC LAKE! - FEBRUARY 20-27, 2010
Estancia Laguna Verde
What everyone is drooling over! Jurassic Lake is located “in the middle of nowhere” in the Santa Cruz Province half–way between Bariloche and Tierra del Fuego. The infamous “Jurassic Lake” and the multiple smaller lakes accessed from Estancia Laguna Verde offer consistent opportunities to fish for dinosaur sized rainbows. Last season, the average sized Rainbow landed at Jurassic Lake was 10 pounds... not to mention the 27 fish over 20 pounds! The addition of drift boats and proper v-hulled motor boats this summer will add to the sight casting opportunities to the Rainbow of a lifetime! This trip to Jurassic melds well with either the Bariloche trip the week prior or the trip to Tierra del Fuego the following week.

TIERRA DEL FUEGO - FEBRUARY 27- MARCH 6, 2010
Aurelia Lodge
Tierra del Fuego is one of those destinations all serious trout anglers should visit once in a lifetime. We are excited about our new relationship with Aurelia Lodge, one of the more under the radar operations on the Rio Grande. Of the six lodges on the river, Aurelia Lodge is the only to offer exclusive access to BOTH sides of the river as well as an additional 20km of the Rio Menendez tributary. Aurelia is located upstream from the highly publicized pools of the other lodges, and traditionally fishes better than their competition later in the season.... thus the early March date selection. Furthermore, Aurelia's water is a bit shallower than the pools downstream, making for more user friendly fishing with floating lines and a more visual experience. The lodge is totally five star with all the high-end services you expect from Tierra del Fuego, only their price point is 25% cheaper than the competition.
