Celebrity Clinics

Periodically, Tailwaters Fly Fishing will host special schools and events with celebrities from the fly fishing world, giving our customers a unique opportunity to learn from legends. So far in 2007, we have hosted events with Flip Pallot Lefty Kreh, and Chico Fernandez, with other greats such as Ed Jaworoski to come. These schools are designed to allow the students maximum time to interact and learn from masters of the sport. While very practical, these schools also prove to be as memorable as any fishing trip! |

Private Lessons

Tailwaters offers private fly fishing instruction for everyone from the novice to the seasoned pro. Our staff will create a custom lesson that can include instruction on casting, equipment, knots, and the basics of the sport. Allow the Tailwaters staff to help you to learn the art of fly fishing, or bring your angling skills to the next level.

For the Beginner

Fly fishing may seem intimidating, but the sport is not as difficult as it may appear. Let our experienced staff walk you through the first crucial stages of becoming a fly fisherman, and introduce you to the basic skills of this beautiful sport. We can teach the beginning fly fisherman everything they need to become a successful angler including the most important and recognizable aspect of fly fishing: the cast. |

Advance Lessons

Our advanced classes go beyond basic instruction to enable students to improve their fly fishing skills. Lessons are customized to help you achieve any goals you may have. Whether its working on the double-haul or learning new and effective ways of rigging your own equipment, our knowledgeable staff can certainly prepare you for any fishing adventure you pursue. |

Group Lessons

Tailwaters offers group lessons that are easily customized to the skill level and number of attendees. Instruction can be arranged to cover everything from basic knots to specific techniques and equipment used to catch a particular species of fish. These lessons can be held at nearly location your organization chooses. We have given clinics here at the shop, in gymnasiums, and high rise office buildings. Of course the most popular and informative lessons take place outdoors and on the water. We also offer entomology (insect) seminars that are very informative and help take your fly selection and presentation to the next level. |
