Turneffe Flats – Belize

Join Chris Gay as he returns for his second hosted trip down to his old stomping grounds to Turneffe Flats, Belize. Chris has spent a considerable amount time in Belize and actually worked at TFlats before he made his way to us here at Tailwaters. We are very excited to see this amazing fishery during perhaps one of our favorite times of the year to go. Not only can anglers expect great opportunities at catching bonefish and permit but the summer tarpon migration will be in full swing as well. For anglers in search of the infamous grand slam, this is one of the best weeks of the year to make it happen.

Why come to Turneffe Flats with us?

Turneffe Flats has become known around the world for being one of the premier lodges in Belize with their excellent service, attention to detail, and being located in a phenomenal fishery. Located on a remote island 30 miles off the coast of Belize City, Tflats is a great destination to consider for folks interested in a trip with a little more solitude. Turneffe is one of the best permit fisheries in the world, and legions of cooperative bonefish make for a great venue for beginners or novice saltwater anglers to put a bend in the rod.

Accommodations at the lodge are very comfortable and luxurious considering its remoteness, and the tasty combination of seafood and Belizean flare from the kitchen is just a bonus after a full day on the flats. For those interested in non-angling activities, the lodge offers a Combination Package that allows for a flexible schedule to both dive and fish during your stay. Turneffe Atoll is home to some of the best dive sites in the world! Click HERE to read more on Turneffe Flats
